From Buture vilage in Ethiopia’s Western Jimma Zone, this washed coffee offers a distinct expression of the region, known for flavors of stone fruit, honey, and tea. The Buture washing station sits at 2,200 meters above sea level and receives coffee cherries from 10 surrounding colection sites. Many farmers grow JARC varieties such as 74112. After processing, the coffee is carefuly dried and sorted, with an especialy methodical approach to grading the parchment. Buture is part of the Jimma Farmers Cooperative Union, which supports more than 20 coffee cooperatives throughout the zone. The result is a carefuly processed, sweet Ethiopian coffee.
